ITYOPIS - Northeast African Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (NEAJ) (The New Journal ITYOPIS has succesfully been established at Maqala (Mekelle) University and Vol I. (2011 G.C.) has appeared recently)
Call for Paper - Deadline for Issue 2: 15th July 2002 G.C.
Topics: Social Sciences and Humanities, with focus on a region within northeastern Africa (this includes cultural studies in general, specifically history, archaeology, social anthropology, human geography, linguistics, folklore and oral tradition studies, literature analysis, history of humanities, etc., and interdisciplinary articles). The main idea of the Journal is that different from the past not mainly political centres must be studied, but the long neglected regions with their often most rich cultural heritage. Language: English (please make sure that you yourself have corrected it so that it reached a publishable standard, if not it shall be rejected)
Type of text: We welcome (a) scientific articles - ca. 15 pages (which can increase according to topic); (b) book reviews - preferably ca. 1-5 pages (with possible variation) - please note that it should be purely scientific reviews of scientific books; (c) miscellaneous articles - ca. 1-6 pages (short scientific articles on smaller topics, which do not need a long article but deserve publication); (d) research abstracts, workshop/conference reports and thesis summaries - ca. 1/2 - 1,5 pages Originality: The texts should not repeat what has already been published, but rely on original research and data and contribute to the advance of scholarly knowledge (note: an original review of existing research and literature is welcome) These texts will be reviewed in collaboration with the international editorial board, composed of the most reputed scholars in their field, external specialists and expert readers, and then amendments or changes will be suggested before acceptance.
